Responsive web design has received some considerable attention in recent months. The ability to morph or adapt the layout of a website to the device being used to view the web page is both exciting and challenging for developers and marketing personnel.
With this in mind I thought it would interesting to use a responsive web design template for Marketing 101 .

It is not uncommon to be asked "What is an SEO Company ?", more importantly what do they do they do? What is the difference between SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) and SEM ( Search Engine Marketing ) ?
The difference between SEO and SEM
The easiest way to explain it is to show you a picture of a google search and break it down into its component parts. In this case the results are shown for the search "Marketing Degree".

Google has such a strong hold on the search engine market and the way we browse the web that the picture above should be familiar to all reading this post. It is highly likely that you used google to get here in the first place. In essence the results page of a google search can be divided or broken down into three main areas as shown below.
Android Apps used on my Asus Transformer Prime - a quick review

I have been using the Asus Transformer Prime for a few months now so felt it was a good time to consider the applications I have been using.
The Asus Transformer Prime is not without its faults; I often get notifications that the browser and other applications have stopped responding, having to 'wait or close' the offending android application. It also has a very annoying habit when typing (as I am now) of jumping to other parts of the document with the cursor. I am not sure as yet if this is something related to the keyboard I have (although I very much doubt it) or the software I use. I have tried various different 'office' applications such as Polaris Office which came pre-installed, Documents to Go, Quick Office Pro and Office Suite. At present I am using a mixture of Polaris and Quick Office Pro, as the interface is more aesthetically pleasing than Documents-to-Go. To be honest I am yet to be convinced about its uses with an office application for anything other than an emergency.
Apple Marketing Strategy - innovation & the Apple TV

In 1990 I bought an Apple Mac ‘Classic’. I used it for everything from writing up my notes at University to playing a very addictive golf game (the name I forget). It cost about £1000 from an Apple Approved Supplier more prepared for business sales than dealing with a student but this was how you got them in those days. Later I added an 80 meg (yes 80 meg) external hard drive for £300 and a black and white bubble jet printer (largely a copy of the Canon BJ10e but more expensive) for another £300. Apple Macs were certainly not cheap prior to August 6th 1991.
Yesterday as part of a marketing lesson, I watched an episode of Futurama from 2010 about the new ‘eye phone’ and ‘twitcher’. On one side it was very amusing but on the other it highlighted the success of Apple Marketing Strategy and the interaction consumers have with the technologies / devices / gadgets they use to gain access to Social Networks and other websites.
Apple Marketing Strategy is successful (in my opinion) because of a number of different but interlinked elements.

Rupert Murdoch took the stand today at the Leveson Inquiry. Whilst I was unable to see it all, I was able to take 5 minutes whilst eating a ham sandwich at lunchtime and watch some if it on the BBC news channel.
